‘Dominion’, a documentary written, directed and produced by Chris Delforce, is based on truth. Featuring real footage captured by activists and drones, this is one of the most important and life changing documentaries you will see.

We so often rely on the media to report information on what’s happening in the world; and reporting the truth is not just expected, it is considered an ethical and moral obligation.

However, in regards to animal welfare, sadly the truth is usually only brought about when activists start making some noise, or a whistle blower exposes what is really happening. Now, it is time that the public stood up and began taking notice of these activists because without them, the truth can be lost and the suffering of the vulnerable will continue.

Exposing the animal exploitation industry for the atrocities it commits is a global concern and issue. In the U.S, the animal agricultural industry is one of the most violent and secretive industries in the world. It is a trillion-dollar industry - making those trillions of profits from the suffering and extreme cruelty of vulnerable animals. This suffering is sustained and supported by the public’s ignorance as the agricultural industry makes it a priority to keep the public uninformed of the truth. The industries spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in marketing campaigns and sponsorships of some of the world’s largest health organisations to falsely promote “health benefits” and “free range” fields to the public. Dominion exposes those fallacies and lies.

Dominion is not the first documentary by Chris Delforce. In 2015, he released, Lucent, an Australian documentary exposing the Australian pig industry. Following Lucent’s release, Chris’ home was raided by a police task force. Coincidence? I think not! It was an attempt to gag him and stop him exposing the truth. Have you noticed the increased pork commercials on television over the past few years? The pork industry went into damage control adding humorous and recently, false, health connotations to the advertisements.

The raid didn’t stop Chris. He and his team continued to gather evidence of systemic brutality endured by animals at the hands of the animal agricultural industry. Chris brought more than several-hundred hours of footage together providing evidence of exploitation. He took focus on all the industries that continuously exploit - fashion, entertainment, wildlife, pets and experimentation - and produced Dominion.

Chris is also reported as saying, The documentary challenges the idea that “animals are inferior, humans are superior and, therefore, that somehow grants us the right to have dominion over them, so I’m challenging that assumption, that perception, of animals being inferior and the idea that if someone is inferior then it gives us the right to control them, exploit them and use them for our own ends.”

Dominion is supportive of a world-wide movement that is rising against animal cruelty and suffering. It is a key part of an initiative and coordinated activism campaign, The Dominion Movement, which includes the online ‘Aussie Farms Repository’.

The Dominion movement recently attracted over 3000 demonstrators in Melbourne, uniting for a common goal – stopping animal cruelty. This movement is rapidly growing and is proving unstoppable.
